#### 3.14.3.2 prestrain update rule

The idea behind this rule is to eliminate the distortion induced by the incompatibility of the initial prestrain gradient with the reference geometry. Thus, we retain the original reference geometry at the cost of an altered effective prestain field. The update rule is given by the following equation.
This update rule does not define any additional parameters aside the ones from above.
