4.3.3.5 Elliptical

The fiber density distribution type “elliptical” models an orthotropic 2D distribution. This distribution corresponds to where are the components of in the local Cartesian basis of each element, when specified (see Section 4.1.1↑) or the global basis by default, implying that the elliptical distribution lies in the plane; and are the semi-principal axes of the ellipse. Here, where is the complete elliptic integral of the first kind and is the ellipse eccentricity. The following material parameters need to be defined:
